Great location, nice room, free internet (wi-fi).
No parking, no cleaning staff.
By and large I was very impressed. Room was bright and clean with a good layout and a quality TV. Laundry facilites in the basement were good. Staff I met were friendly and helpful. Great location, and so good value. I'd happily recommend it.
The only problem with my room was a slowly dripping tap on the bath - Didn't keep me awake though. Elevators were a bit slow and clunky, so I was a bit concerned they were going to break down - but nothing happened. Probably just being a bit paranoid - I've been trapped in a couple of elevators in the last year or so!
The location and the place were very nice. The staff (Juan & Jennifer) was very helpful and friendly (especially when i lost my wallet!). I would definitely recommend to stay here to the people who are coming in Chicago. Will come back asap!
I was very pleased with our stay. We had a small view of the lake, were close to a bus that went right down Michagan ave., there was a rooftop area that was spectacular at night, the place was clean and comfortable, the staff pleasant and it was inexpensive. I will stay there again, if I get a chance to go back to Chicago. I felt like we had a home away from home. The only thing missing were our cats!
I have no complaints, at all.
I liked the location, it was quiet, Juan was very nice. Felt like home
It was too cold, and I couldn't find a temperature control. The kitchen sink faucets were rusty
In terms of value for money it is unbeatable (we paid $71 a night!). Studios are well appointed and the kitchen a real benefit during a longer stay. Decent gym, sauna and steam which are hardly used. Free fast wifi and local calls. Great location downtown close to Rush st, John Hancock, main shopping areas and coast. Juan and the team really helpful, even out of hours.
Location, cleanliness, windows open, kitchen facilities, convenience store nearby, quiet, more apartment then hotel atmosphere, good value.
This are dislikes but not deal breakers The AC is a bit loud. A bigger unit could be run on lower fan speed. The agents used to clean before I got there really smell toxic and are. This is a common concern not only with the DeWitt. But I think the DeWitt would score big points with clients if non-smelly green cleaning agents where used. could even use as marketing tool. As a chemist I unfortunately know what type of chemicals are used in most of the "standard" cleaning agents. Of course the worst victim is the cleaning person who take in doses of this stuff all day. The warnings on the packaging should not be taken lightly. My little diatribe here.
Its location: two blocks from Magnificent Mile.
* High price for the value * No lobby * No restaurant * No check-in after 6 pm (needs special arrangements) *
Location was great. Very nice welcome by the gentleman at the desk. Walking distance for Mi ave.. I would definatly stay again and recommend to friends.
Its location near Water Place and just off Michigan Avenue can not be beat.
A clean, simple, basic studio apartment right behind the Hancock bldg off Chicago's Michigan Ave. Just what I needed to work all day, and have the opportunity to look at some trendy shops in the chance off times. Nice to have an apartment with a full kitchen, as I have some food concerns, and with the grocery shops so close (Jewel, Dominicks, Trader Joe's, Whole Foods) I could do my own food prep. Basic accom, but I wantged to pay less on lodging, more on other things while in town.
The unit seems to have only teeny-tiny dessert forks. And the radiator makes a clanging noise as it starts up.
The location was excellent, and the room very well equipped.
It was slightly awkward to arrive at weekend as not clear how to access the building as not highly staffed, however once we tracked down the manager she was very helpful and responded to a couple of requests in remarkable time making our stay very comfortable.
We were greeted with a warm welcome. The room was very comfortable and well-laid out. The location was close to everything we wanted to see during our stay in Chicago. Perfect for walking to the lakefront, museums and shopping.
The location is fantastic! Mid downtown. And it was great to have your own place with kitchen facilities. This made staying in very pleasant. It was clean, comfortable and quiet. All in all a very pleasant experience. Plus I had a lake view (well sort of, around the building in front of us).
Check out is at noon and my flight wasn't until the evening. But this was no problem, staff was very helpful and let me leave my bags in the office saying that all I had to do was phone a mobile number and someone would come down to open the door for me and give me my bags. This was not the case. It took me over 25 minutes and four phone calls to reach someone and because of this almost lost my connection to the airport. Very stressful and worrisome. So I would advise others not to leave their bags out of office hours.
